Storekeeper

Job summary

The person will work with the construction foreman. In this position, you’ll play a key role in the proper care and maintenance of our stock, will be responsible for tracking, recalling, managing inventory and performing various clerical tasks for the mechanical shop and construction sites.

Primary purpose of the position

• Ensure availability of goods including tools and orders missing items at the shop
• Complete preparation of production equipment «kits»
• Provide support to different departments in relation to the foreman
• Contact the foreman on duty to schedule deliveries and to resolve missing items, delivery errors and other issues
• Prepare and maintain rolling stock inventories
• Verify that deliveries meet quality, quantity, price and lead time requirements
• Match purchase orders, delivery orders and billing
• General maintenance of the construction trailer

Inventory control
• Ensure proper stock rotation and maintain an optimal threshold
• Keep the parts department clean and tidy according to the locations and correctly identify the parts and their affection
• For inventory management purposes, enter data relating to the receipt of goods and participate in the annual inventory taking
• Perform other tasks as required and directed by management
